More than bookkeeping – Your outsourced finance partner
Hello! I’m Gemma, and I’d love to share a bit about my journey with you. I found my way into management rather unexpectedly. I never had a clear idea of what I wanted to do, but I always had a knack for numbers and initially thought I’d become an accountant.
However, I didn’t achieve the best results in school and decided not to pursue further education immediately.
Like many, I didn’t make the best choices the first time around. I began working in bars and doing administrative tasks, which led to a pivotal moment when our Operations Director noticed my potential.
With the opportunities given to me, I quickly rose through the ranks, experiencing various roles in Catering and Hospitality Management. I completed a fast-track development course and earned a management qualification.
Eventually, I achieved my dream role as an Account Manager for one of our Company’s most prestigious contracts, based in Canary Wharf. However, life is full of surprises and changes. Due to some health complications, I had to make tough decisions.
I chose to prioritize my health and family over my career. This transition period was challenging, and I felt a bit lost for a while. But it also provided me the chance to rethink my goals and aspirations.
Now, I’ve found a new path. Later in life than I anticipated, I decided to retrain in bookkeeping. I’m currently studying to become an accountant, bringing with me a wealth of life and management experience.
